The United States Senate has confirmed Indian-American Seema Nanda because the solicitor for the Department of Labour.
A former CEO of the Democratic National Committee who additionally served within the Department of Labour throughout the Obama Administration, Nanda was confirmed by the Senate with 53-46 votes on Wednesday.
Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus chair Judy Chu applauded the Senate vote.

Nanda served as chief of employees, deputy chief of employees and deputy solicitor on the US Department of Labour within the Obama-Biden administration.
