Hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi for approving reservation for OBCs and EWS candidates within the all India quota for medical programs, the BJP on Saturday stated the federal government has taken a historic step geared toward establishing an egalitarian society, whereas the Congress did “nothing” for social justice and uplift of weaker sections throughout its rule.
The authorities on Thursday had introduced 27 p.c reservation for OBCs and 10 p.c reservation for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) class within the All-India Quota (AIQ) scheme for undergraduate and postgraduate medical and dental programs from the present educational 12 months, 2021-22.
Addressing a press convention, BJP chief and Union Minister Bhupender Yadav stated the get together congratulates Prime Minister Modi for taking this historic step.
“This is a historic decision aiming for setting up an egalitarian society based on social and economic justice,” Yadav stated, whereas questioning the opposition particularly the Congress over their contribution to the progress of the socially and economically weaker sections.
Despite ruling the nation for such a very long time, “the Congress did nothing for the uplift of the backward and economically weaker sections of the society”, Yadav alleged.
He stated the Modi authorities works on the precept of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’ to make sure inclusive growth of the nation by taking everybody alongside.
Taking on the opposition for doubting the federal government’s intent behind this determination, Yadav stated, “Those who used to talk about the uplift of backward communities were only concerned about their respective families and their own well-being.”
Whereas, he stated, the Modi authorities “is working for everyone in the society and that’s why it also gave reservation to economically weaker sections in the general category”.
Underlining that the OBC Commission was given constitutional standing by the Modi authorities, Yadav stated the earlier Congress-led UPA authorities did nothing on this entrance regardless of a number of stories given by varied commissions.
