Bollywood celebrity Akshay Kumar on Sunday stated he was thrilled that his not too long ago launched movie BellBottom was screened at a travelling cinema corridor in Ladakh, touted because the world’s highest cell theatre.
Last week, Ladakh acquired its first inflatable cinema with a personal firm, PictureTime Digiplex, putting in the theatre within the union territory.
The firm put in the theatre in Leh and claimed it to be the very best altitude theatre on the earth, put in at a top of 11,562 toes.
Kumar’s BellBottom, which launched theatrically within the nation on August 19, was screened for the Indian Army and CISF personnel on August 22.
The actor took to Twitter and described the cell theatre as “an amazing feat”.
“Makes my heart swell with pride that BellBottom was screened at World’s highest mobile theatre at Leh in Ladakh. At an altitude of 11562 ft, the theatre can operate at -28 degrees C. What an amazing feat!” Kumar, 53, wrote alongside the photograph of the cinema corridor.

Directed by Ranjit M Tewari, BellBottom additionally stars Lara Dutta, Huma Qureshi and Vaani Kapoor. Stenzin Tankong’s Sekool, the acclaimed quick movie on the Changpa Nomads of Ladakh, was screened on the launch of the theatre.
