The Finance Ministry is more likely to arrange a committee to evaluate remission charges for exporters underneath the RoDTEP (Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products) scheme to deal with any “anomalies’’, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal stated Friday.
He additionally stated the Mega Investment Textiles Parks (MITRA) scheme and the Production Linked Incentive scheme for the textiles sectors have been at a complicated stage of approval.
“For the current year, the rates and the budgeted provisions have already been finalised. At the same time we have requested the Ministry of Finance to set up a committee to look at any anomalies,” he stated, noting it was attainable there could also be some circumstances the place sufficient knowledge could not have been accessible to set acceptable remission charges and that the panel may handle these anomalies.
Goyal stated the Centre had set a goal of $44 billion for the textile exports through the fiscal.
