Australian quick bowler James Pattinson on Wednesday retired from worldwide cricket after realising that he received’t be within the reckoning for the Ashes collection as a consequence of health points.

“Leading into pre-season I really wanted to give the Ashes a crack but in the end I haven’t had the preparation I would have liked heading into the coming season,” Pattinson was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au in a press release.
“If I used to be to be a part of the Ashes I would want to do myself and my teammates justice. I didn’t wish to be ready of battling with my physique when it’s good to be 100 per cent match and able to go at any time. That wouldn’t be honest to myself or the crew.
