Saif Ali Khan on changing Abhishek Bachchan in Bunty Aur Babli 2: ‘Aditya Chopra said things aren’t figuring out…’

As Bunty Aur Babli 2 launched on Friday, its lead actors – Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji – have opened up on Abhishek Bachchan being changed within the movie’s sequel. The second iteration of 2005 hit, which starred Abhishek and Rani, discovered its new Bunty in Saif. Amitabh Bachchan, who performed the cop on the path of the con duo within the authentic, can be lacking within the new movie.
Saif, in an interview with News 18, stated that his Bunty has little to do with the function performed by Abhishek Bachchan within the authentic. “Honestly speaking, Adi called and said, ‘Things aren’t working out and we aren’t able to take the story forward with the original cast. Would you be interested in being a part of this film once they adjust the role.’ And I said yes because he is producing the movie and he knew what he wanted to do with the franchise and once they knew that they weren’t going one way, they took the other route. So it happens and I have a very pragmatic approach towards it.”

The actor, who’s working with Yash Raj Films after greater than a decade added that he wished to resume that relationship. “I bear in mind Adi sending me this textual content once we confirmed the movie.
There had been numerous causes that we didn’t work collectively for greater than a decade. I used to be eager to have a great working relationship with Yash Raj Films once more and that was one of many causes to say sure to the movie,” he added.

Rani, in the meantime, identified how the 2 movies are totally different. “I think comparisons are something that people would like to do. So, there is no point in saying that people should not compare both films. I think that’s something they will do because now on social media, there is so much that people can do on daily basis to start a conversation and comparing would be something that they would love to do. But, honestly, we can’t help that but at the same time what is important to understand is that Bunty Aur Babli 2 is a different film on its own. It’s not the same movie that was released in 2005,” she advised Spotboye.
