JEYPORE: At least 23 Anganwadi staff of Barabankeri in Koraput’s Bandhugaon block have written to the Collector, district social welfare officer (DSWO), Koraput Sub-Collector and baby growth challenge officer (CDPO) alleging harassment by their supervisor and demanding motion towards her.
As per their grievance, Rajeswari Turku, who’s the supervisor of 25 Anganwadis in Barabankeri, has allegedly been demanding cash from them through the enforcement of assorted ICDS schemes and whereas clearing payments. When the employees increase objections, Turku makes use of abusive language and makes casteist remarks, they additional said.
An Anganwadi employee of Barabankeri, on situation of anonymity, mentioned each sector assembly is a traumatic expertise due to Turku’s tough behaviour. Another employee mentioned, in worry of the supervisor, they can not even increase the difficulty with greater authorities.
However, Koraput DSWO Bidutlata Patra mentioned she is unaware of the difficulty and her workplace has obtained no such grievance towards the supervisor.
