Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Monday confirmed the dates and venues of the Test and ODI collection towards India. As reported earlier, three Tests and as many ODIs could be performed, whereas the T20Is have been postponed for now.
The CAS press launch said, “It is a pleasure for Cricket South Africa (CSA) to confirm the updated schedule for the India men’s tour to South Africa. As announced over the weekend, the tour has been reduced from three series to two; the Betway Test and One-Day International series, taking place from 26 December to 23 January 2022 across four venues, following successful engagement with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).”
“The four-match T20 international series will be rescheduled for a more opportune time in the new year,” the discharge added.

The first Test will begin on Boxing Day that’s 26-30 December on the SuperSport Park, Centurion. The second Test will likely be held from 3-0 January 2022 on the Imperial Wanderers, Johannesburg whereas the third Test will happen from 11-15 January 22 on the Six Gun Grill Newlands, Cape Town.
The ODIs will begin from January 19, which is the date of the primary ODI, at Eurolux Boland Park, Paarl whereas the second match will happen on 21 January on the similar venue. The third and last ODI will happen on 23 January on the Six Gun Grill Newlands, Cape Town.
The BCCI had chosen to attend and watch after the detection of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus in a couple of international locations together with South Africa. It didn’t name off India ‘A’ staff’s ongoing tour to the nation, whereas continuously holding in contact with CSA over the event.
