A Navy assertion stated the incident occurred throughout “routine flight operations” within the South China Sea.”The pilot safely ejected from the aircraft and was recovered via U.S. military helicopter,” it stated. “The pilot is in stable condition. There were seven total sailors injured.”The assertion stated three of the personnel required evacuation to a medical facility in Manila and 4 had been handled on-board the provider and launched.
