Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Pratap Jena on Monday wrote a letter to Union Minister Giriraj Singh for sanction of homes beneath Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G).
Referring to the earlier correspondences made on this concern, Jena urged Singh to sanction 1.84 lakh particular PMAY-G homes as promised to Odisha within the aftermath of cyclonic storm ‘Fani’-hit Odisha.
Notably, the Prime Minister had reportedly assured the Odisha authorities to allot PMAY-G (particular) homes to the Fani affected households throughout his go to in May 2019.
He additionally demanded opening of the Awaas+ window for a while to include names of eligible neglected households and synchronise the info of 6.65 lakh households within the State-run rural housing portal with the Awaas+.

The Union Minister was requested to rectify this injustice being meted out to the State of Odisha and its individuals.
