US govt refuses to endorse Rahul Gandhi’s ‘China, Pakistan nearer’ comment

In a significant embarrassment to Congress chief and Gandhi-scion Rahul Gandhi, the United States has refused to endorse his latest remarks in opposition to the Modi authorities, alleging that the centre has introduced the nation’s two hostile neighbours – China and Pakistan collectively.
Speaking within the Parliament on Wednesday, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi had launched a tirade in opposition to the international coverage of the Modi authorities, claiming that the Union authorities has dedicated against the law of bringing China and Pakistan collectively.
In response to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks, the Joe Biden administration mentioned that the United States wouldn’t endorse such feedback.  
To a query on Rahul Gandhi suggesting that China and Pakistan are nearer than ever because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ineffective international insurance policies, US Department of State Spokesperson Ned Price mentioned, “I will leave it to Pakistanis and PRC to speak to their relationship”.
“I certainly won’t endorse those remarks,” he added.

On Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi participated within the debate on the movement of thanks on the President’s Address. In his speech, he had claimed, “China has a plan. The Chinese have a very clear vision of what they want to do. The single biggest strategic goal of India’s foreign policy has been to keep Pakistan and China separate. What you (Centre) have done is, you have brought them together.”
He claimed that the Modi authorities’s international coverage has made India remoted and claimed that New Delhi was unable to get a visitor on Republic Day.
He had mentioned that India is totally remoted and surrounded, including that China has a clear-cut plan which they’ve applied in Doklam and Ladakh.
US division cautions Pakistan
Interestingly, within the press briefing, the US State Department additionally cautioned Pakistan over its “partnership” with China.
Speaking to the media, Ned Price added, “We’ve made the point all along that it is not a requirement for any country around the world to choose between the United States and China.”
