PATNA: At least seven individuals died and eight others had been harm in a strong explosion in a home in Bihar’s Bhagalpur late on Thursday, police mentioned Friday.
At least three homes had been badly broken within the explosion.
Bhagalpur deputy inspector normal (DIG) Sujeet Kumar mentioned the injured have been admitted to an area authorities hospital. Efforts had been on to take away particles from the spot.
The incident befell in Kajwali Chak locality at round 11.35 am on Thursday when the members of the family of 1 Mahendra Mandal had been engaged in making firecrackers.
The influence of the explosion was felt in a radius of 4 km.
The DIG mentioned the bomb disposal squad and a crew of forensic specialists have rushed to the location. Prima facie the incident appeared to have been induced resulting from explosion throughout the manufacture of firecrackers.
