SRINAGAR: Three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists, who had been concerned within the latest killing of a sarpanch in Khonmoh, had been killed in an encounter with safety forces on the outskirts of town right here in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, police mentioned.
The safety forces launched a cordon-and-search operation at Nowgam early within the morning after receiving particular inputs in regards to the presence of terrorists within the space, a police spokesperson mentioned.

“According to police records, the slain terrorists were affiliated with proscribed terror outfit LeT (TRF) and were active since 2021. They were part of groups involved in several terror crime cases, including attacks on police and security forces and civilian atrocities,” the spokesperson mentioned.
The three males had been concerned within the killing of the sarpanch in Khonmoh on March 9, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, mentioned, including that they used to hold out assaults on Panchayati Raj establishment members and guarded individuals.
