Oil protestor ties himself to objective publish at Premier League fixture

The Premier League fixture between Everton and Newcastle United was held up for eight minutes on Thursday after a protestor tied himself to the objective publish on the Gwladys Street finish of Goodison Park.

The incident occurred simply after halftime, with the invader carrying a jersey with the phrases “Just Stop Oil”.

The group claiming duty for the protest on Twitter stated: “Our authorities is betraying us by funding new oil fields within the North Sea. New oil means destruction of our kids’s future.

“It means war on small island states. And it means suffering now for the poorest and most marginalised in all regions.”

Newcastle are owned by a consortium involving the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, and comes within the week that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has visited that nation.

It took a variety of stewards and safety workers to take away the intruder after he was reduce free from the publish, and needed to be carried out of the stadium as he refused to go away on his personal.
