The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has pulled up the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) for “deficient data management” as knowledge of Aadhaar card holders haven’t been matched with Aadhaar quantity even after 10 years in some instances.
In its audit report on the functioning of the UIDAI, the CAG has criticised the absence of a system to analyse the elements resulting in authentication errors and stated that despite the fact that UIDAI was sustaining one of many largest biometric database on this planet, it didn’t have a knowledge archiving coverage, which is taken into account “a vital storage management best practice”.
