NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) has constituted an Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC) Promotion Task Force.

Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman introduced to arrange of the drive in February in the course of the finances speech, to recommend methods to markets and international demand.

“India has the potential to capture 5 percent (40 billion dollars) of the global market share by the year 2025, with an annual growth of around 25-30 percent and creating over 1,60,000 new jobs annually,” it added.

Besides framing a nationwide AVGC coverage, the duty drive will suggest a nationwide curriculum framework for Graduation, Post-Graduation and Doctoral programs in AVGC associated sectors.
