The tragic incident befell on Monday at 9 pm after a hearth reportedly broke out within the kitchen of a hut in Faiz Mohammad Daryani Chandio village, in response to eyewitness accounts.
Due to the sweltering warmth, the hearth raged very quickly, lowering all of the 50 homes within the village to rubble, and severely injuring no less than 20 others. More than 160 livestock additionally perished within the blaze.
Despite repeated calls, no fireplace service official had arrived greater than 12 hours later after the blaze had subsided, the villagers alleged.
