SRI NAGAR: A militant was killed in a gunbattle with safety forces in Bandipora district whereas one other encounter was underway within the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, police mentioned.
The gunbattle had damaged out between the militants and safety forces in Salinder forests of Bandipora earlier within the day, a police spokesperson had mentioned.
Later, in a tweet, the Kashmir Zone police mentioned, “One terrorist killed, one AK rifle and three magazines recovered. The killed terrorist was a part of a newly infiltrated terror group. Search for other two terrorists in progress.”
The spokesperson mentioned the operation was happening until the final stories arrived.
Another encounter was underway at Marhama within the Bijbehara space of the Anantnag district. There was no report of any casualty on this operation within the south Kashmir district thus far.
