NEW DELHI: Senior advocate Ok Ok Venugopal has agreed to proceed because the Attorney General for India for 3 extra months following a request by the central authorities, authorities sources mentioned on Wednesday.
His current one-year time period was to finish on June 30. Venugopal, the sources mentioned, was not prepared to proceed within the constitutional publish attributable to “personal reasons”.
But following a request by the central authorities, he has agreed to proceed as the highest legislation officer of the Union of India for 3 extra months.
