MUMBAI: A person claiming to be a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) employee has moved a courtroom in Mumbai in opposition to filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma alleging he had handed “uncharitable” remarks about National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Presidential nominee Droupadi Murmu.
The grievance searching for motion in opposition to Varma for offences below sections 499 and 500 (defamation), 504 (deliberately insulting an individual), and 506 (punishment for prison intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was filed by Subhas Rajora earlier than the metropolitan Justice of the Peace courtroom in suburban Bandra on July 14, the complainant’s lawyer D V Saroj mentioned on Saturday.
The Justice of the Peace has adjourned the matter to October 11 for taking cognisance of the grievance, he added.
The grievance acknowledged that Varma had made “derogatory” statements by means of his Twitter deal with which outraged the respect of girls on social media. His tweets are tantamount to disrespecting the scheduled caste (SC) folks.
