Bhupinder Singh, Legendary Bollywood Singer, Dies In Mumbai

Singh is remembered for his memorable songs in movies like Mausam, Satte Pe Satta, Ahista Ahista, Dooriyan, Haqeeqat, and plenty of extra. He was born on 6 February 1940 in Amritsar, Punjab to Professor Natha Singhji, a skilled vocalist and his early music instructor. His father was a strict instructor, and Bhupinder hated music and its devices at one stage.

In the mid-Eighties, Bhupinder married the Bangladeshi singer Mitali Mukherjee and moved away from playback singing. Mitali Mukherjee can also be a singer. Together, they carried out at ghazal and stay performances. They have a son named Nihal Singh who can also be a musician.
