PARADIP: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday carried out raids on the places of work of Paradip Port Trust (PPT) and Odisha Stevedores Limited (OSL) over an alleged bribery case.
The CBI officers interrogated Chief Mechanical Engineer, PPT Saroj Kumar Das and contractual employee Sumant Rout for his or her involvement within the case. Another CBI staff raided the OSL workplace at Badapadia in Paradip and seized necessary paperwork.
Sources stated CBI carried out the raids primarily based on the allegation that OSL paid Rs 25 lakh bribe to PPT officers for allocation of a plot within the port.
