JAIPUR: With over 12,800 cattle deaths as a result of a pores and skin an infection attributable to Lumpy virus in Rajasthan, the state authorities has banned the holding of animal gala’s.
Out of the overall cattle deaths reported within the state until August 10, a most of two,511 deaths have been reported in Sri Ganganagar adopted by 1,619 in Barmer, 1,581 in Jodhpur, 1,156 in Bikaner, 1,150 in Jalore and 1,138 in Jalore.
“Situation in completely under control. All efforts are being made to control the disease spread. Most of the deaths have occurred in five districts and the situation in other districts of the state is under control,” Secretary, Animal Husbandry Department P C Kishan mentioned.
According to the Department, a complete of two,81,484 animals have been affected as a result of illness and a couple of,41,685 animals have been handled.
Considering the unfold of the illness within the state, the state authorities has banned organising animal gala’s in Rajasthan, an official assertion mentioned.
