Australian capital Canberra’s airport was evacuated and a person arrested after gunshots have been heard in the principle terminal constructing, police stated on Sunday.
One individual has been taken into custody and a firearm was recovered, the police stated in an announcement. There have been no reported accidents, it added.
Police stated CCTV footage has been reviewed and right now the individual in custody is believed to be the one individual answerable for the incident.
“The Canberra Airport terminal was evacuated as a precaution and the situation at the airport is contained,” the assertion stated.
