Priti Patel stated on Monday that she’s going to stand down as Britain’s Home Secretary, or inside minister, as soon as Liz Truss formally takes over because the nation’s prime minister.
Her resignation comes simply hours after Truss was named the winner of a Conservative Party management contest to grow to be the following prime minister. Truss will take workplace on Tuesday.
