The International Cricket Council on Thursday, September 8 introduced the fixtures for the warm-up matches for the T20 World Cup 2022, beginning October 22. India will tackle New Zealand and Australia within the warm-up matches earlier than their big-ticket opening match towards Pakistan on the Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23.
India will play each their warm-up matches on the Gabba in Brisbane. They will tackle Australia on October 17 and New Zealand on October 19.
The warm-up matches will get underway on October 10 however the groups, which have already made it to the Super 12, will play their warm-up fixtures on October 17 and 19. The first-round groups, together with the West Indies and Sri Lanka, will play their warm-up matches between October 10 and 13.
Only Brisbane and Melbourne will host the warm-up matches forward of the T20 World Cup. None of those warm-ups will carry official T20 worldwide standing.
