NOIDA: A seven-month-old baby, who was mauled by a stray canine inside a complicated group housing advanced right here has died, a society consultant stated on Tuesday.
The incident passed off contained in the premises of Lotus Boulevard society in Sector 100 round 4.30 pm on Monday, Dharam Vir Yadav, a consultant of the society’s residents group stated.
“The child was mauled by a stray dog on Monday evening. He was admitted to a private hospital where doctors operated on him. Unfortunately, we lost the child late last night,” Yadav informed PTI.
He stated the police have been knowledgeable and are taking motion now. Earlier on Monday, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Noida 1) Rajneesh Verma stated the kid was severely injured within the incident.
“The parents of the child are construction workers. Both were engaged in construction work inside the society and had kept the child near them. However, a stray dog had entered the society which bit the child, leaving him severely injured,” Verma informed PTI.
He stated the kid was instantly rushed to a non-public hospital close by the place he succumbed throughout therapy.
The ACP stated there was no grievance with the police over the matter since it’s associated to a stray canine however they’ve alerted companies involved to catch such canines.
The native police on Tuesday lodged a common diary case within the matter, officers stated.
