By India Today Web Desk: Legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar has backed Team India to make a robust comeback after their disappointing efficiency within the T20 World Cup semi-final. In the match on Thursday, November 10 in opposition to Jos Buttler’s England, India confronted a 10-wicket defeat on the Adelaide Oval.
After being requested to chase down 169, the Three Lions obtained over the end line with 24 balls to spare. Tendulkar stated that the rating of 168 was a below-par whole on the venue, recognized for its quick sq. boundaries.
“I know that the semi-final against England was very disappointing. Let us accept that we did not put up a good total on the board. 168 in Adelaide Oval is not great since the dimensions of the ground are entirely different and the side boundaries are really short. We were also unsuccessful in taking wickets. It was a tough game for us, a bad and disappointing defeat,” Tendulkar was quoted as saying to ANI.
Sachin, within the meantime, was additionally of the opinion that one shouldn’t overlook the efforts India put in to change into the No.1 T20I staff on this planet.
“To get to that Number 1 spot, it does not happen overnight. The team has to play good cricket over a period of time and it has done that. Let us not judge our team on the basis of this performance. Players also did not want to go out and fail. In sports, these ups and downs are there. We have to be in it together,” he added.
India topped their Super 12 Group with 4 wins out of 5 matches after beating Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Netherlands and Bangladesh.
