By India Today Web Desk: Shortly after Donald Trump tabled his resolution to enter the 2024 White House bid, United States President Joe Biden lashed out on the former US president. Lashing out at his predecessor’s presidential race and declaring alleged failures within the Trump administration, Biden stated that ‘Trump had failed America’.
“Donald Trump failed America,” Biden shared on Twitter. The US president rebutted Trump’s oft-repeated claims that his authorities had achieved rather a lot throughout his tenure. In a video accompanying the incumbent US president’s tweet, Biden identified the alleged ‘tax cuts for the wealthy and corporators’, ‘record-breaking unemployment’ together with ‘worst job report on report’.
Biden, in an obvious jibe at his rival, accused the Trump-led administration of ‘attacking ladies’s rights’, coddling extremists, and ‘attacking well being care’.
Notably, the video carried content material with visuals from the US Capitol mob violence in January 2020 whereby Trump supporters staged protests, alleging rigged elections. Biden pinned the onus on Trump and stated that he was chargeable for ‘inciting a violent mob’.
TRUMP ANNOUNCES 2024 WHITE HOUSE BID
Trump’s assault got here after former US president Donald Trump introduced that he would run for the US presidential polls to make America ‘nice and wonderful’ once more. He stated that the ‘radical left Democrats’ had been making an attempt to destroy the US.
76-year-old Trump, in search of a possible rematch with Democratic President Joe Biden, made the announcement at his Mar-a-Lago property in Florida on Tuesday, per week after midterm elections by which Republicans didn’t win as many seats in Congress as that they had hoped for.
“In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing that I will run for President of the United States. This will be our campaign altogether,” Trump, 76, told his cheering supporters.
“I am your voice,” he said, asserting that he will ensure that US President Biden is not re-elected in 2024.
On the other hand, US President Biden, who turns 80 on November 20, has said that he intends to run but would take a final decision during the Christmas-New Year vacation. This is Trump’s third bid at the White House.
During his speech, Trump listed out the accomplishments of his 2016-2020 presidency and urged his countrymen to unite.
“Success was greater than this country has ever had. We were leapfrogging China, leapfrogging everybody else and everybody wanted to be something,” he said.
“Joe Biden is the face of the left wing,” Trump alleged.
“The United States can’t take one other 4 years of Biden. It can solely take a lot,” he stated.
