By India Today Web Desk: Marnus Labuschagne was over the moon after he scored his eighth Test century within the opening Test between Australia and West Indies on the Perth Stadium that bought underway on Wednesday, November 30.
Labuschagne stayed unbeaten on 154 off 270 with 16 fours and one six on the shut of play on the primary day. The right-hander was happier due to the truth that his spouse, Rebekah and daughter Hallie had been current on the venue in Perth, witnessing his hundred.
“My wife and my daughter Hallie made this trip down to Perth, it’s her first day at the cricket and it was nice to get a score in front of them,” Labuschagne was quoted as saying after the day’s play.
On the again of Labuschagne’s knock, Australia scored 293 for the lack of two wickets at Stumps on Day 1. After David Warner bought out early to Jayden Seales, Labuschagne stitched collectively a 142-run stand with Usman Khawaja, who scored 65 earlier than getting out to Kyle Mayers.
Thereafter, Labuschagne and Steve Smith placed on an unbeaten 142-run stand for the third wicket. The batter stated that situations in Perth are fairly just like these of Brisbane, due to which he didn’t face a lot problem.
“When you finish the day at around 300 for 2, you’ll feel good. It was nice to build partnerships throughout the day. It helps coming from Brisbane (home ground), the conditions are pretty similar here, you can understand the conditions better when compared to Adelaide or Sydney.
“It was all about the process, build your whole game around it and don’t worry about anything else,” he added.
