MATHURA: A 14-year-old Dalit lady was allegedly strangled to demise after gang rape in a village underneath Mahavan Police Station space of Mathura district.
According to Police, the lady had gone to a forest space close to her home to alleviate herself at round 8.30 pm Friday evening. She had taken her nine-year-old sister along with her.
Three males of the village caught the lady there and allegedly gang-raped her, and strangled her to demise later, they stated. Her youthful sister in some way managed to flee from there and informed her household concerning the incident.
When they heard about it, the household together with different villagers started a seek for the lady and ended up apprehending two males.
Superintendent of Police Rural Trigun Bisen who visited the spot pacified the agitated villagers and took Deshraj and Yogendra, the 2 males caught by the villagers, into custody.
Police are actually conducting raids seeking the third accused, Sachin, who’s on the run.Deputy Superintendent of Police Alok Singh stated prima facie it seems that the lady was killed after rape.
An FIR has been lodged and police are investigating the matter.
