By India Today Web Desk: The former Spain coach Luis Enrique mentioned that he desires to discover profession alternatives at a membership stage going ahead. Enrique additionally talked about that he was supplied a contract extension by Spain after the Euro 2020, which was performed in 2021 because of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, he declined it.
“I said that the best thing to do was to finish the World Cup (first). I think it makes more sense. (Otherwise) they renew you before a big event, as a reinforcement, but if it goes wrong they will have to compensate you.
“Here they merely (wanted to) inform me that I used to be not going to resume and the contract is over. I assumed I used to be going to must decide (about my future) however I did not even have to,” Enrique added.
After Spain made an exit from the World Cup, Enrique resigned, following which the nation’s under-21 supervisor, De la Fuente, was named as their coach.
