Pak urges Afghan authorities to rethink ban on greater training of girls

By Press Trust of India: Pakistan on Wednesday urged the Taliban-led authorities in Afghanistan to rethink their choice to droop college and better training for feminine college students, emphasising that each women and men have the inherent proper to training in accordance with the injunctions of Islam.

The Taliban rulers on Tuesday banned college training for ladies nationwide, as they took decisive steps to crush their proper to training and freedom.

It was a far cry from their promise of a softer rule after they seized energy final yr, with the Taliban regime strongly implementing their strict interpretation of the Islamic legislation or Sharia.

“Pakistan is disillusioned to study in regards to the suspension of the college and better training for feminine college students in Afghanistan,” in response to an announcement issued by Pakistan’s Foreign Office.

It stated that Pakistan’s place on this concern has been clear and constant.

“We strongly believe that every man and woman has the inherent right to education in accordance with the injunctions of Islam,” FO stated.

It strongly urged the Afghan authorities to revisit the choice taken.

Relations between Pakistan and the Taliban-led Afghanistan plummeted in latest weeks after Afghan border troops this month twice fired throughout the border at civilians, inflicting harm to life.

Last month, Pakistan Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Hina Rabbani Khar, visited Kabul and met prime officers as a gesture to point out that Pakistan was not snug with the remedy of girls by the interim Taliban authorities.
