By India Today Web Desk: Australia captain Pat Cummins was elated after their win over South Africa within the 2nd Test match of the three-game collection. Cummins’ Australia rolled over the guests in a mammoth victory on the Boxing Test match. The hosts gained by a margin of an innings and 182 runs on the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Australia braved accidents of their Test match and gained collectively as a group.
“It (the win) is right up there. We have had some great contests with South Africa, hadn’t won against them at home in 20 years I think, so pretty special. I thought how Warner and Smith batted in the heat was pretty gutsy. Starc and Green as well, put their injuries behind and turned up. Davey was superb, you could see his energy from ball one and to do it in his 100th Test is awesome,” the captain mentioned.
Starc and Green each injured their fingers within the second Test match. While Starc ws capable of bowl within the second innings of the sport, Cameron Green didn’t play any additional half within the second innings of the match. Starc himself mentioned that he might be out for at the least 2 weeks.
Barring Warner, Alex Carey hit a century as properly, sealing Australia an enormous first innings whole, one which Australia did not surpass in two innings mixed.
