The household survived the steep drop off the Devil’s Slide cliff
By India Today Web Desk: An Indian-origin man within the US drove his Tesla off California’s Devil’s Slide cliff together with his spouse and two kids inside. The man, recognized as Dharmesh A Patel, and his household survived the 250-feet drop and are being handled at a hospital.
Firefighters rappelled down the cliff to rescue the 2 kids – a 4-year-old lady and a 9-year-old boy, whereas a helicopter crew rescued the couple. They had been rushed to a close-by hospital.
Patel, 41, has been arrested for deliberately driving his automobile off the cliff and can be transferred to the San Mateo County jail after his launch from the hospital.

“Based on the evidence collected, investigators developed probable cause to believe this incident was an intentional act,” the police mentioned in a press release.
According to Brian Pottenger, the incident commander for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, it’s “very, very rare” for individuals to outlive such a steep fall; the youngsters suffered solely minor accidents.
“We were actually shocked when we discovered survivable victims in the vehicle. So that was a hopeful moment for us,” Pottenger mentioned.
According to stories, authorities intend to cost Patel with three counts of tried homicide and two counts of kid abuse.
