The Asian champions Sri Lanka beat India by 16 runs to maintain the collection alive at 1-1.
Pandya mentioned that India had a poor show in each the batting and bowling departments within the powerplay. He added that the hosts made “basic errors” and cautioned his aspect to not make such errors on the worldwide degree.
“Both bowling and batting – powerplay hurt us. We made basic errors which we shouldn’t do at this level. Learning should be the basics we can control. You can have a bad day but shouldn’t be going away from basics. In this situation it is very difficult,” Pandya mentioned on the post-match presentation.
