By India Today Web Desk: Former Sri Lanka cricketer Kumar Sangakkara rang the bell on the Eden Gardens forward of the second ODI between India and Sri Lanka in Kolkata on Thursday.
On the event of the ceremonial bell ringing, Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president Snehasish Ganguly was current.
India want to safe the three-match ODI sequence in opposition to Sri Lanka, having received the opening match by 67 runs earlier this week. In Guwahati, Virat Kohli smashed his forty fifth ODI hundred and 73rd worldwide century, whereas Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill performed promising knocks of 83 and 70, respectively.
In the 2nd ODI, India made one change, with Kuldeep Yadav changing Yuzvendra Chahal. Kuldeep picked up from the place he left and took three wickets in his 10-over quota.
Kuldeep first trapped Kusal Mendis for 34 earlier than dismissing Charith Asalanka (15) and Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka (2), who performed an unbeaten knock of 108 within the first ODI.
