Continuous efforts are being made to transform ourselves into a modern, self-reliant, technologically driven and battle-worthy force. Modernisation through self-reliance will be our new mantra”, stated Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pande. He was talking on the first military day celebrations held right here in Bengaluru on Sunday that took off with pomp and magnificence. This is the primary time the military parade is held outdoors Delhi.
Mentioning that the Indian Army has constantly confronted challenges referring to safety with willpower and has ensured the safety of the borders with vigour, Pande stated “Situation in the northern border areas has been normal. Through established protocols and existing border mechanisms, necessary steps are being taken to maintain peace. At Line of Actual Control (LAC), a strong defence posture is maintained and we are fully prepared to deal with any contingency.”
There has been a major discount in ceasefire violations alongside the Line of Control (LOC) in western border areas and the safety scenario within the North-Eastern areas has witnessed marked enchancment, he stated.

The ASC bike show staff ‘Tornadoes’ enthralled the viewers with their dare-devil stunts. Scintillating ‘fight free fall’ by paratroopers was a particular attraction.
