By India Today Web Desk: India had been topped the U19 girls’s World Cup champions after a stellar victory in opposition to England on Sunday, 29 January. The Indian facet had been dominant from the ball go, bowling out England for simply 68 runs in 17.1 overs of the sport.

The spearhead of the assault was Titas Sadhu from Bengal who picked up two wickets for simply 6 runs in her 4 overs. Crowned participant of the match for her bowling effort, Titas was elated after profitable the World Cup, however mentioned that she nonetheless couldn’t consider that the staff had lifted the trophy.

“It’s been a few hours since we became champions, but still can’t believe we’re the best in the world. The celebrations have been going on since winning the trophy. It is a great pleasure to win the World Cup for the first time in the jersey of the Indian team,” the youngster told CricketNext in an interview.

“The country has become a champion. That is a proud moment. It feels good to think that I have also contributed to becoming the champion of the country. I hope I have been able to fulfil the responsibility that was given to me,” she further added.

Asked about her favourite player, Titas said that is was Jhulan Goswami and said that the legendary Indian bowler’s tips helped her in the tournament.

“Didi (Jhulan Goswami) is my favourite cricketer. It feels good when you keep everyone’s trust. Didi gave me many tips. I have been able to use them,” the participant concluded.

The victorious Indian staff has been invited to observe the third T20I match between India and New Zealand at Ahmedabad, scheduled to be performed on Wednesday, 1 February.
