The speedster had suffered the damage throughout the second Test in opposition to South Africa final yr and subsequently missed the third Test in opposition to the Proteas.
During the Australian Cricket Awards, when the host requested Starc for an damage replace, the 33-year-old cricketer mentioned: “I am track..still a couple of weeks and then probably meet the guys in Delhi..after..hopefully, a first Test match win..get myself into training over there.”
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy will start on February 9 in Nagpur earlier than the groups transfer to Delhi for the second Test adopted by Dharamsala (third Test) and Ahmedabad (4th Test).
Starc remained in good spirits for the Test tour of India and mentioned that there’s loads of good cricket to look at over the following couple of months.
“I guess you never really know what to expect from the conditions in India but we have a fair idea, that it is obviously going to turn. You never quite know until you start the game or decide which wicket to play on. So, it is going to be a great challenge,” Starc instructed Erin Holland on the sidelines of the Australia Cricket Awards.
“The group is in nearly as good a place that we might be heading into an Indian tour. It’s thrilling with the ladies going for the World Cup and we have now a protracted tour of India. So loads of good cricket to look at over the following couple of months, so we’re simply wishing for some good success for Australia.”
