More than 1,900 died in Turkey and Syria after a number of earthquakes jolted the area. Monday’s earthquake was one of many strongest in area in almost a century. Turkey has confirmed 1,121 deaths, whereas Syria confirmed one other 783 fatalities, placing the toll at 1,904

-An earthquake of magnitude 7.8 hit Turkey on Monday and tremors have been felt throughout the border in Lebanon and Syria. The quake was centered north of the town of Gaziantep in Turkey in an space about 90 kilometers from the Syrian border, with a 6.7-magnitude aftershock hanging quarter-hour later.
-Just hours after the primary earthquake, Turkey was jolted by a recent temblor of magnitude 7.6 on Richter scale.
