By India Today Web Desk: Former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar was impressed with Ravindra Jadeja’s efficiency within the opening Test in opposition to Australia. Jadeja turned the Player of the Match after he scored 70 runs within the first innings and picked up seven wickets, together with a five-wicket haul within the first innings of the Test.
Jadeja returned to worldwide cricket after 5 months following his knee surgical procedure. He went into the Nagpur Test after choosing up a seven-wicket haul whereas taking part in for Saurashtra of their Ranji Trophy match in opposition to Tamil Nadu.

As a batter, he once again showed that he is going to score more and more runs for India. His wicket has to be earned by the opposition,” Gavaskar added.
After the match, Jadeja stated that he was conscious of the ways that might be utilized by the Australian batters to deal with high quality spin-bowling.
“I looked to bowl in good areas, the ball was spinning, the ball was going straight and also keeping low. I know the Australians will look to play sweep and reverse sweep,” Jadeja stated within the post-match presentation ceremony.
