By India Today Web Desk: Mumbai Indians proprietor Nita Ambani has welcomed India captain Harmanpreet Kaur to the membership, praising her professionalism and successful mentality. Mumbai Indians spent Rs 1.80 crore to safe the providers of Harmanpreet on the inaugural Women’s Premier League public sale.
Speaking after the public sale, Ambani stated she has seen Rohit develop from a participant to a captain at MI, whereas welcoming Harmanpreet to the membership.
“I have seen Rohit (Sharma) grow from a player to captain at Mumbai Indians and this year, we complete 10 years of Rohit as a captain for Mumbai Indians. We are now welcoming Harman (Harmanpreet Kaur) to the MI family,” stated Ambani.
She went on to hail Rohit and Harmanpreet’s expertise, professionalism and successful mentality, including that she is de facto excited to have her within the group.
“Both of them come with great experience, professionalism and a winning mentality. They are a huge inspiration to all our youngsters. So, we are really excited to have both these players,” Ambani added.
Ambani stated she may be very completely happy to get the Indian captain at MI, whereas additionally welcoming different signings like Natalie Sciver and Pooja Vastrakar.
“As a team, we are very happy with the way the auction panned out. We are very happy to get the Indian captain at Mumbai Indians, where we already have the men’s captain. We are also very excited to see Nat (Sciver-Brunt) in the team, Pooja (Vastrakar) and all the talented women who are joining the MI family,” stated Ambani.
She went on to say that Indian sports activities is at a turning level for ladies, insisting that she feels very proud to see younger ladies doing so properly.
“In India, sports for women is at a turning point. All our young girls are doing so well and I feel so proud just looking at them,” Ambani added.
