By India Today Web Desk: The iconic Wankhede Stadium is below renovation forward of the primary ODI match between India and Australia.
The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on Tuesday shared the up to date photos of the stadium, saying the spectators will benefit from the upgraded amenities on the venue. The Wankhede Stadium is ready to host the first ODI on March 17.
“Renovations of the Wankhede Stadium is already underway in a phased manner. Here’s the latest look at the progress being made. We are sure that the spectators will enjoy the upgraded facilities at the iconic Wankhede,” tweeted Mumbai Cricket Association.

“The next phase of renovation includes the refurbishment of the boxes, public utility areas and the toilets at the stadium. Soon a new experience and fully renovated stadium will be there for the public to enjoy matches at Iconic Wankhede stadium.”
The BCCI on Sunday (February 19) introduced India’s squad for the three-match ODI collection, with Hardik Pandya being named because the vice-captain as an alternative of KL Rahul. Captain Rohit Sharma, below whose management India retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, will miss the primary ODI on account of household commitments.
India will host Australia in Visakhapatnam for the second ODI on March 19 and Chennai for the third ODI on March 22 earlier than gamers shift their focus to the IPL 2023, which begins with the defending champions Gujarat Titans taking up Chennai Super Kings on March 31 in Ahmedabad.
