CHANDIGARH: Three gangsters had been killed in an ‘encounter’ with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of Punjab Police on Wednesday.
The alleged encounter befell at New Fatehgarh Sahib Market in Bassi Pathana of Fatehgarh Sahib.
A gangster Tejinder Singh alias Teja and two of his associates had been killed within the alleged encounter. Teja is reported to be a mastermind within the Phillaur shoot-out case through which a police constable Kuldeep Singh Bajwa was killed.
Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav mentioned {that a} crew led by Additional DGP Promod Ban on Wednesday night managed to hint the placement of Teja. The police crew was chasing his car through which Teja and his associates had been travelling, when in an try to flee Teja and his males opened fireplace on the police crew. The police crew fired in return. During the alternate of fireplace, Teja and one among his associates had been killed on the spot. Another affiliate of the gangster suffered accidents. The police crew recovered six pistols from the car.
