DIMAPUR: An area chief of the extremist group National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) was picked up by the Assam Rifles on Wednesday evening after he had allegedly requested individuals to not vote in favour of Nagaland BJP chief Temjen Imna Along.
Lanuwati Jamir, the NSCN-IM chief within the Ao area, is now within the custody of the police.
