NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court agreed to listen to on Tuesday a plea of the Punjab authorities towards the Governor’s “refusal” to summon the Budget session scheduled for March 3.
A bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Narasimha stated it can take up the Punjab authorities’s plea at 3:50 pm after a five-judge Constitution bench listening to on the Maharashtra Shiv Sena political disaster.
Senior advocate AM Singhvi, showing for the Punjab authorities, requested for pressing listening to of the plea on Tuesday itself.
He added that the Constitution bench listening to won’t get affected if the matter is taken up for listening to for 10 minutes through the day.
The bench advised Singhvi, that he shall be arguing earlier than the structure bench and due to this fact it can take up the plea for listening to at 3.50 pm.
