By India Today Web Desk: Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria has mentioned that the fourth and closing Test of the Border-Gavaskar sequence between India and Australia is heading in the direction of a draw.
Speaking on his Youtube channel, Kaneria mentioned the ultimate Test of the BGT sequence being performed on the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is heading in the direction of a draw, including that there isn’t sufficient activate the wicket.
“This Test match is heading towards a draw. I don’t think we’d get to see a result in this game. Australia could take their chances if they can somehow take a lead by bowling out India early on Day 3. There is nothing on offer for the bowlers on this wicket. There isn’t enough turn and the break is quite slow as well,” said Kaneria.
The former spinner said India wicket-keeping batter KS Bharat is one of the best wicket-keepers in the world at the moment.
“KS Bharat deserves a lot of appreciation. A lot of people criticized that kid, which shouldn’t have happened. He is one of the best wicketkeepers in the world at the moment. He took a fantastic catch to dismiss Cameron Green. He crouched very low, which isn’t an easy thing to do,” Kaneria added.
He went on to shower praise on Bharat’s catch to dismiss Cameron Green on Day 2, and went on to say that he could score a century in Ahmedabad since the wicket is good for batters.
“It may be very troublesome to gather the ball down the leg facet because the keeper is blinded. Despite that, he was in a position to maintain on to Green’s catch. It reveals what a unbelievable wicketkeeper he’s. Lots of people have mentioned that Bharat must work on his batting. But I feel he can rating a century on this Test as a result of the wicket is superb,” mentioned Kaneria.
India at present leads the four-match Test sequence 2-1 and wish a win in Ahmedabad to ensure a spot within the closing of the World Test Championship in June.
