Bhadohi: A particular courtroom for POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) circumstances in Uttar Pradesh’s Bhadohi has convicted a youth for abducting and raping a 16-year-old lady scholar. The accused has been sentenced to twenty years rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs 33,000.
Special Public Prosecutor (Paxo) Dr. Ashwini Kumar Mishra mentioned that this case pertains to a village below Gopiganj police station space of the district. He advised that Ajay Kumar Yadav (22), a resident of Ghanshyampur village, kidnapped and raped a woman scholar learning at school VIII on April 29, 2021. Mishra mentioned that on this case the sufferer’s father had lodged an FIR in opposition to Ajay on April 30, 2021 below related sections of the Indian Penal Code.
Mishra mentioned that the listening to of the case began within the courtroom of Additional Sessions Judge/Special Judge (POCSO) Madhu Dogra from March 9, 2022 and after listening to the arguments of each the perimeters, the courtroom on Saturday convicted Ajay and sentenced him to twenty years.
