By India Today Sports Desk: The rivalry between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore goes once more to IPL 2008, when the two commenced what would years later develop to be an important cricketing league on the planet.

“The stories related to the rivalry between these two teams took the fandom to an extreme and this was the reason why IPL emerged as the biggest T20 leagues in the world in due course.”
On April 6, 2023, Eden Gardens witnessed a repeat of 2017. Shardul Thakur’s attractive knock of 68 off merely 29 balls powered KKR to 204/7. Thakur stitched a significant 103-run partnership with Rinku Singh (46 off 33).
In reply, Varun Chakravarthy (4/15), Impact Player Suyash Sharma (3/30), Sunil Narine (2/16) and Shardul Thakur (1/15) blended to help KKR bundle out RCB for 123.
